About the class

This fall, join our hands-on baking masterclass where we'll explore and create two delicious recipes from scratch. The first is Potica, a Slovenian festive pastry made from a fluffy enriched dough and filled with a blend of almond or walnut, cocoa, and vanilla paste.

The second recipe are irresistible pumpkin apple cinnamon buns, which I have been perfecting over the years. These buns feature a subtle fall spice flavor, gooey caramelized apple filling, and soft, fluffy pumpkin dough. In this comprehensive, hands-on masterclass, you’ll learn how to make these two amazing fall recipes from scratch.

The apple star is a stunning pastry ideal for special occasions and or a delightful weekend breakfast. Its distinctive shape makes it a popular choice for holidays, and it can be filled with a variety of delicious fillings. In this class, we’ll prepare the star with perfect fall flavors, featuring warming spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg, combined with apples and pears.

We’ll begin the class by preparing a rich, flavorful dough. While the dough rises, we’ll make a spicy apple and cinnamon filling. We’ll then learn how to shape, assemble, and bake the star. Additionally, this wonderful bread can be made using various types of dough, such as puff pastry or non-yeast dough, allowing you to apply the shaping technique to a variety of recipes.

Who wouldn’t love dumplings? In this class, we'll delve into the delightful world of traditional Eastern European dumplings, a staple comfort food with rich culinary history. Together, we'll craft an authentic dumpling dough from scratch and master the art of making and shaping three distinct types of dumplings: Slovak pirohy, Ukrainian vareniki and Russian pelmeni
