Learn how to make two delicious traditional breads made and traditionally made once a year for Easter in Eastern Europe
In the class we’ll learn how to make:
Mazanec - delicate sweet bread, similar to Paska or Italian Panettone made with a part of corn flour and filled with buttery filling, dried fruits and citrus zest. Mazanec is usually served as a side to savory soups or cold cuts but tastes delicious by itself or smeared with jam
Easter Kulich - rich pastry made from dough similar to brioche. Kulich can be baked as a small individual pastry or a loaf bread baked in a big bread tin. This rich yet airy bread is the most important symbol of the greatest Orthodox Church feast - Easter holiday. Kulich is flavored with nuts and fruits and can be filled with an almond filling
